  M an’s search for meaning is an autobiography of Dr Viktor E. Frankl where he narrates how his brutal experiences in a concentration camp have given birth to his famous theory called logotherapy. Summary Part 1 Dr Viktor E. Frankl and his family were first arrested by the Nazi German Authority for the reason he was Jewish and in the coming days of his narration, his entire family got perished except him. After that, he was subjected to live a life where not only his wealth and family were eliminated but even the basic right of human was denied. To share some of the vicious treatments by Nazi’s,  they stripped him off all his clothes except his shoes and belt and even shaved all his hair in the body, to which he compellingly wrote with humour in it that, “ we knew that we had nothing to lose except our ridiculously naked lives .’’  What is more disgraceful in the concentration camp was they were not even allowed to call by each other names but rather with a number like ...

The book is basically about how the voice in our head or our domesticated belief can steal joy and happiness from us. The book convinces us that just like an animal being domesticated by humans, we are being domesticated by beliefs and thoughts that we picked up from an environment that we surround ourselves with. These beliefs are referred to as a  Book of Law  and these laws are written in such a way that even if it is a wrong belief the  inner judge  perceives it as a right one. Without a doubt, these beliefs lead us in seeking attention from externalities and also abusing ourselves subsequently. Furthermore, it also makes us search for happiness, love, beauty in the external world when it actually exists within us.
